Senior Technical Business Analyst

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst in the United States.

In this role, you will act as the critical bridge between clients and engineering teams within a fast-paced SaaS environment serving public sector organizations. You will translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements that directly shape product functionality and client outcomes. Working across multiple stakeholders, you will investigate system behavior, troubleshoot issues, and define solutions that improve performance and usability. The position combines deep analytical thinking with hands-on problem solving and client engagement. You will also play a key role in prioritizing work, testing enhancements, and supporting implementations for new and existing customers. This is a highly collaborative environment where your insights directly influence product evolution and service quality. The role also includes occasional travel to engage with clients and support relationship building.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will serve as a key liaison between clients and development teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into actionable technical solutions. You will analyze system behavior, troubleshoot complex issues, and support continuous product and process improvements across multiple client accounts.

  • Act as the primary bridge between clients and engineering teams, translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including bugs, calculations, and system behaviors
  • Prioritize enhancements, feature requests, and defects using ticketing systems based on business impact and client needs
  • Define clear functional requirements, system behaviors, and integration flows for development teams
  • Validate and test software changes in pre-production environments to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Support client implementations by configuring solutions and aligning software with business processes
  • Provide ongoing client training, subject matter expertise, and day-to-day support
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to improve systems, processes, and client experience
Requirements

This position requires strong experience in technical business analysis within SaaS or software-driven environments, along with the ability to operate as a subject matter expert across client-facing and technical domains. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, structured, and confident communicating complex concepts clearly.

  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in SaaS or software environments
  • Strong ability to analyze systems, identify root causes, and solve complex technical problems
  • Experience working closely with developers to define technical specifications and requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with client support, implementation, or consulting-style responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize work based on business impact and operational urgency
  • Strong collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset and willingness to mentor others
  • Comfort with approximately 15% travel for client and team engagement
