This role focuses on building and optimizing scalable data systems that enable reliable analytics and data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will design and maintain modern data pipelines that transform large volumes of raw data into structured, high-quality datasets used by analysts, scientists, and business teams. The position blends hands-on engineering with architectural ownership, requiring strong expertise in cloud-based data platforms and distributed processing frameworks. You will work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where data quality, performance, and governance are critical. - Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and Python
- Develop and optimize distributed data processing workflows to improve performance, reduce latency, and ensure reliability
- Build and maintain robust data models, including dimensional and normalized structures, to support analytics and reporting needs
- Enable secure, timely, and governed access to data for analytics, product, and business teams
- Leverage AWS cloud services such as S3, Glue, and Lambda to support scalable data engineering solutions
- Implement and enforce data engineering best practices, including code quality standards, version control, and documentation
- Design and maintain orchestration and monitoring systems using tools such as Airflow, Databricks Jobs, or AWS Step Functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, production-ready datasets
- Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement of data infrastructure and workflows
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role focused on large-scale data systems
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, including Spark and Delta Lake
- Proficiency in Python for ETL development and data pipeline engineering
- Solid experience working with AWS cloud services for data storage, processing, and orchestration
- Strong SQL skills for data transformation, querying, and performance optimization
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake architectures, and modern data engineering practices
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and software engineering best practices
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality and reliability
- Ability to collaborate effectively with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $69,400 to $99,200 depending on experience and location
