ENTERPRISE: WE-KO-PA CASINO RESORT

JOB TITLE: CAGE VAULT CASHIER

DEPARTMENT NAME: CAGE

REPORTS TO: CAGE SHIFT MANAGER

SALARY: DOE

POSITION STATUS: REGULAR FULL-TIME, FLSA NON-EXEMPT

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for accurately verifying cash, chips, and coins both leaving and entering the vault. Responsible for accurately processing the cash, coin, and chip portions of every cash transfer order and verifying the money being returned to the vault. Processes and prepares money in the vault, including verifying, muting, facing, and strapping. Prepares kiosk boxes in accordance with policy and procedure. Required to perform money-running duties when assigned. Solely responsible and accountable for assigned cash fund and for completing bank accountability forms properly and completely.

• Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the Casino Resort We-Ko-Pa Way

• Accountable to all standards outlined in the We-Ko-Pa Way Casino Resort service guide.

• Accurately verify cash, chips, and coins entering and leaving the vault.

• Process the cash, coin, and chip portions of all cash transfer orders.

• Verify monies being returned to the vault.

• Verify, mute, face, and strap currency in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Prepare kiosk boxes in accordance with policy and procedure.

• Perform money-running duties as assigned.

• Maintain sole responsibility and accountability for assigned cash fund.

• Complete bank accountability forms properly and completely.

• Verify cash, chips, and coins in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines.

• Maintain accountability for all balancing paperwork, including end-of-shift balance sheets and signed money orders.

• Process transactions accurately and expeditiously while maintaining vault variances to an absolute minimum.

• Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

• Must be able to work and multitask in an intense and fast-paced environment while maintaining the utmost accuracy in the processing of paperwork and payments of cash or cash equivalents.

• Must possess strong organizational skills and a high degree of concentration necessary to perform all required job duties.

• Must be able to prioritize the various job duties that need to be completed simultaneously.

• Must be proficient with computers and the operation of a 10-key calculator.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

• Sitting, balancing, bending, standing, stooping, twisting, and walking for 67-100% of the workday.

• Eye/Hand coordination and wrist motion for 67-100% of the workday.

• Reach for 34-66% of the workday.

• While working on the casino floor, the employee is exposed to high levels of noise daily.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous cash handling experience preferred.

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately.

• Ability to operate a computer and 10-key calculator.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of concentration.

• Ability to obtain and maintain all required Tribal and State Gaming licenses.

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
