Rentals Equipment Technician

JOB SUMMARY: Service and maintain Rental fleet assets per job specific requirements or individual instruction. Prep/Stage equipment per engineering provided documentation and assist in loading/unloading equipment. The tasking detailed below is an overview of a daily/weekly work scope, additional tasking and responsibilities may be required as workload increases or decreases and will be relayed via email and/or in person.

FUNCTIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide onsite and remote technical troubleshooting and repairs services on Zeeco combustion rental equipment
  • Complete all required documentation on the above services completed, in a timely manner and according to company policy
  • Provide detailed information on all the tasks completed as well as providing any recommendations that would benefit the customer, equipment operation or engineering team.
  • Provide electrical skills to troubleshoot the following items but not limited to:
    • Relay panels
    • Basic PLC panels/logic
    • Basic MCP (motor control panels)
      • VFD
      • Step down transformers
      • Power supplies
    • Electric actuators
    • transmitters
    • Blower motors
    • Solenoids
  • Use combustion equipment knowledge to diagnose and repair the below but not limited to:
    • Pilot assemblies
    • Piping assemblies
      • Valves
      • Valve operations
      • Flow/Pressure regulation
  • Read and understand Electrical schematics and P&ID’s
    • Assist Technician I personnel with reading/understandings electric drawings
  • Use industry standard parts nomenclature to request/purchase parts
  • Operation of machines and tools per HSE standards.
  • Provide a good understanding of electric and/or gas hydraulic systems
  • Diagnose and repair trailer wiring systems
    • May be required to train to other teams on how to diagnose and repair
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools.
  • Prioritize assigned tasks and manage time effectively
    • Occasionally lead a team member or members on specific task
  • Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using hand truck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.
  • Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination
  • Locate, stage and/or organize loose rental assets for future use.
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or using power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom, rags, and cleaning compounds, to assist machine operators.
  • May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
  • Forklift certification
  • Clean, sort and organize shop space as needed.
  • Use basic computer skills to complete the following
    • Submit emails with job specific reports
    • Request parts via Zeeco Order Entry
    • Communicate with PE/PM and other team members on project specific tasking
    • Create and/or complete asset inventory reports during quarterly and yearly audits
    • View and Upload project specific documents

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside the Company. Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities on tight deadlines. Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations related to job requirements. Must be able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to stand/be on your feet for long periods of time. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate a Computer, telephone and other office equipment. Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing and apply appropriate safely equipment when required. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties. Must be able to work overtime as required.
