Central Sterile Processing Aide - Central Services in Lima, Ohio at Lima Memorial Health System

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies, the Central Sterile Processing Aid provides the Health System with clean and decontaminated IV Pumps, IV Poles, ranger fluid warmers and patient leads, ensuring a quality product for patient care by executing established procedures for cleaning and decontamination. The Central Sterile Processing Aid ensures timely delivery of pumps and leads to the patient to ensure quality patient care at all times; maintains a working knowledge of the proper way to handle, store and deliver the IV Pumps and leads. Additional duties of this position include providing ancillary support of the Central Sterile Services department, including but not limited to, assisting with cart and tray restock, pyxis orders, unload of washers & sterilizers, assembly and wrap of basic procedural sets and instrumentation, and stocking and re-filling of bins.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Enrolled in a CRCST program preferred. Must successfully complete LMHS orientation program and demonstrate competency in all skills.

Licensure/Certification: None required.

Experience: Previous experience in Central Sterile Processing and/or as a Patient Care Tech is preferred.

Skills: Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes, be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress. Must be able to print and write legibly and accurately, possess the ability to calculate simple mathematics, and follow instructions.
