As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Thermographer to join our commissioning team and support the inspection, testing and successful delivery of critical electrical infrastructure.

The Role

As a Thermographer, you will use specialist thermal imaging equipment to identify temperature anomalies, potential defects and developing issues within electrical equipment and systems.

Working closely with our Commissioning Engineers and Managers, you will carry out thermal inspections, analyse results and produce clear technical reports to support project completion and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thermal imaging inspections in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and industry standards.
• Operate infrared cameras, thermographic scanners and associated equipment.
• Capture accurate, high-quality thermal images of electrical equipment and systems.
• Analyse thermal images to identify abnormal temperatures, patterns, hotspots and potential defects.
• Interpret findings and determine where further investigation or corrective action may be required.
• Produce detailed thermography reports, including findings, supporting imagery and recommendations.
• Clearly communicate inspection results to commissioning teams, contractors and clients.
• Attend commissioning meetings and action relevant items arising from the commissioning programme.
• Work closely with other commissioning team members to maintain the project schedule.
• Provide all required inspection records and documentation within agreed timescales.
• Ensure thermal imaging equipment is appropriately calibrated, maintained and ready for use.
• Follow site safety procedures and safe systems of work at all times.
• Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of thermography activities across the project.

What We're Looking For

• Recognised Thermography certification.
• Minimum 18 months' experience working as a Thermographer or in a similar thermal inspection role.
• Experience using thermal imaging cameras and associated analysis software.
• Strong understanding of thermal imaging techniques and the ability to accurately interpret thermal anomalies.
• Experience producing professional thermography reports and communicating findings.
• Good understanding of site safety requirements and working within construction or engineering environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspections.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Good written and verbal English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Comfortable working in a site-based, project-driven environment.

Experience within data centres, commissioning, electrical infrastructure or other mission-critical environments would be advantageous.
