Job Description

This is an on-site position located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Remote work is not available for this role.

The Power Platform & Copilot Technical Lead is responsible for administering, securing, governing, and supporting Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot technologies across the enterprise. This role manages platform operations, environments, security controls, AI governance, licensing, and user enablement to ensure scalable and compliant adoption of low-code and AI solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Platform Administration & Operations
• Administer and support the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, environments, integrations, and related services.
• Oversee platform health, performance, capacity, operational support, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery, and service reliability.
• Develop and maintain operational standards, procedures, documentation, and support models to ensure sustainable platform operations.

Governance, Security & Risk Management

• Establish and enforce platform governance, security, data protection, and compliance standards, including environment management, DLP policies, access controls, and production readiness requirements.
• Administer risk-based intake, review, and approval processes for applications, automations, AI solutions, connectors, integrations, and data sources.
• Govern identity and access management, including service accounts, privileged access, credentials, and secrets in accordance with enterprise security standards.
• Evaluate and mitigate technology, third-party, connector, and operational risks in partnership with Information Security, Compliance, Risk Management, and other stakeholders.

Solution Lifecycle & AI Governance

• Lead application lifecycle management activities, including environment strategy, solution deployment, release management, testing, change control, and production promotion.
• Maintain oversight of platform assets, integrations, ownership records, and solution lifecycle activities to ensure appropriate accountability and support.
• Establish governance and control standards for AI and Copilot solutions, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing risk management.
• Monitor platform and AI solutions to ensure continued compliance, security, performance, and alignment with business objectives.

Strategy, Partnership & Enablement

• Partner with business leaders, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Data Governance, Compliance, and technology teams to support enterprise platform strategy and governance objectives.
• Provide guidance, standards, reusable solutions, and governance guardrails for developers and citizen developers.
• Promote adoption of platform capabilities and best practices while ensuring business-critical solutions are appropriately governed and supported.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities, operational efficiency, automation, and user experience across the organization.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies
• Required hands-on experience with:
o Power Platform administration
o Copilot Studio
o Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
o Purview
o Security and governance controls
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Solution pipelines, Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Microsoft certifications (PL-900, PL-400, PL-600, PL-500, AI-900, etc.) highly desired.
