Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solana Engineer in the United States.
This role sits at the core of a next-generation financial infrastructure platform focused on building interoperable, programmable stablecoin systems. You will design and implement high-performance Solana programs that power token issuance and on-chain financial workflows used by businesses and institutions worldwide. The position requires deep expertise in Solana’s architecture and Rust-based smart contract development, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and efficiency. You will contribute directly to extending a production-grade issuance system, shaping how digital money moves across ecosystems. The environment is fast-paced, highly technical, and collaborative, with close interaction across protocol, engineering, and security teams. You will also play a key role in preparing systems for audits and ensuring robustness at scale. This is a high-impact engineering role at the intersection of DeFi infrastructure and real-world financial applications.
- Architect, develop, and maintain Solana smart contracts using Rust with frameworks such as Anchor and native Solana tooling.
- Extend and optimize a production-grade token issuance infrastructure, with a strong focus on Token-2022 extensions and advanced token functionality.
- Improve program performance by optimizing compute usage, account structures, and transaction efficiency.
- Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architectural decisions across protocol development.
- Prepare smart contract systems for external security audits by implementing comprehensive testing strategies, including invariants and fuzz testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable on-chain systems.
- Support integration efforts across DeFi and cross-chain ecosystems, ensuring interoperability and correctness of messaging flows.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years of production Rust development.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Solana smart contracts in production environments.
- Deep understanding of Solana architecture, including account model, transaction lifecycle, rent mechanics, and address lookup tables.
- Strong knowledge of SPL Token, Token-2022 standard, and Associated Token Accounts.
- Experience working within the Solana DeFi ecosystem and familiarity with real-world protocol constraints.
- Exposure to cross-chain infrastructure such as Wormhole, LayerZero, Hyperlane, or Chainlink CCIP.
- Basic familiarity with Solidity and EVM concepts to reason about cross-chain contract behavior.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work autonomously in high-performance engineering environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Nice to have: experience with DeFi protocols, security auditing workflows, or open-source Solana contributions.
- Nice to have: degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary, equity, and/or token grants.
- Fully remote-friendly role with optional access to global hubs such as NYC or Berlin.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Wellness support including allowances and gym membership benefits.
- Annual professional development budget for learning, conferences, and skill growth.
- Flexible, global team culture with strong emphasis on autonomy and ownership.
- High-impact work building foundational infrastructure for next-generation financial systems.
- Access to modern engineering tools, secure environments, and advanced Web3 infrastructure projects.
