Agronomist in Bancroft, Wisconsin at AGRI-Alliance

Wysocki Family Farms is seeking an Agronomist. The Agronomist is responsible for supporting and leading crop production operations through agronomic expertise, field scouting, irrigation and fertility management, pest identification, data analysis, and operational planning. This role works closely with farm management to optimize crop health, improve yields, implement agronomic programs, and support quality management systems while helping solve field and production challenges.

The chosen candidate will have a passion to grow, harvest and study crops.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead crop scouting activities and monitor overall crop health, growth, and field conditions.
• Develop and implement fertility, irrigation, and nutrient management programs.
• Identify crop pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and water stress issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze agronomic and operational data to support production decisions and improve yields.
• Coordinate and oversee agronomic operations including seed procurement and crop input applications.
• Collaborate with farm management and production teams to solve field and operational challenges.
• Prepare reports, field observations, and recommendations for management review.
• Ensure agronomic practices comply with company standards, safety requirements, and operational goals.
• Assist in training and mentoring field staff on agronomic practices and crop management procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field
• Basic understanding of farm technology and data controls
• Pesticide license (required during employment)
