This role sits at the center of a high-impact, election-focused organizing effort, leading remote teams responsible for voter outreach through phone and text banking. You will build and manage a distributed “field office” from the ground up, recruiting and training staff while driving daily performance toward ambitious turnout goals. The position combines hands-on organizing with people management, requiring a leader who can motivate large teams, model best practices, and maintain operational excellence in a fast-paced campaign environment. You will play a key role in shaping voter engagement strategies, ensuring accuracy in outreach, and fostering a culture rooted in equity and accountability. Working fully remotely, you will rely heavily on digital tools to coordinate teams across multiple states while maintaining strong communication and alignment. This is a mission-driven leadership role with direct influence on civic participation outcomes in key elections.
In this role, you will lead and scale a remote voter contact program, ensuring teams are effectively trained, motivated, and aligned to outreach and turnout objectives. You will balance hands-on participation with operational oversight, building a strong culture of performance and inclusion.
- Recruit, train, and manage a remote team of 40–50 hourly phone and text outreach staff
- Set daily and weekly performance goals and ensure accountability across the team
- Provide ongoing coaching, motivation, and leadership development to staff and emerging leaders
- Lead by example by actively participating in calling and texting several days per week
- Establish quality control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of voter outreach work
- Manage reporting, data tracking, payroll, and administrative campaign operations
- Build an inclusive and equitable team culture rooted in respect and civic engagement
- Ensure smooth communication and alignment of short- and long-term campaign goals
The ideal candidate brings strong field organizing experience, leadership capability, and a passion for civic engagement. You are comfortable managing large remote teams and thrive in high-intensity, deadline-driven environments.
- Prior experience leading phone or text banking operations, preferably in political or advocacy campaigns
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and develop large teams
- Willingness to lead from the front by actively participating in outreach work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce high standards across teams
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community-based organizing
- Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak campaign periods
- Comfortable working remotely using Zoom and digital collaboration tools
- Experience with call/text platforms (e.g., CallHub) is a plus
- Background in remote management, paid canvassing, or community-based campaigns is a strong advantage
- Weekly salary ranging from $1,057 to $1,412
