At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $17.00 (Min) — $25.50 hourly (Max), excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
As the CT Technical Assistant, you will be asked to assist CT technologists during procedures, perform errands, stock supplies and transport patients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers the telephone in a courteous manner expressing a greeting to the caller and identifying self and the department.
- Keeps Radiology Management informed of any unusual concerns, situations or conditions relative to staff, patients and physicians.
- Prepares the patient for a CT exam. Pleasantly introduces oneself and confirms identification utilizing the 2 LGH patient identifiers (name and date of birth).
- Explains the examination procedure to the patient and family if present.
- Assists in the movement of the patient to and from the wheelchair.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and special skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in radiology (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric.)
- Clean the room after the exam has been completed by changing sheets and pillow towel.
- Maintains the necessary inventory of supplies in each room.
- Stocks supplies and notifies supervisor when items need to be reordered.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate
- Flexible team member with good communication skills. Basic computer skills.
Preferred:
- Experienced in hospital or related setting
