The Purpose of your role:
This role is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities, processing customer orders, and ensuring smooth communication between suppliers, internal teams, and customers. The position supports day-to-day operations by managing orders, maintaining inventory levels, and helping ensure materials and services are delivered on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams on purchasing and order matters
- Communicate effectively with customers, business partners, and internal departments to ensure alignment
- Manage the full order lifecycle, including entry, confirmations, and status updates
- Develop and maintain project schedules to track progress and highlight risks or delays
- Coordinate logistics across freight forwarders, suppliers, factories, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Ensure all activities follow company authorization requirements and established procedures
- Contribute to building and maintaining a centralized purchasing function within SAP Business One
- Collaborate with departments to streamline and improve purchasing processes
- Assess and qualify suppliers while keeping records accurate and up to date -- - Issue purchase orders and track them through internal KPI dashboards
- Oversee inbound and outbound shipments in coordination with shipping and receiving teams
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for high-demand items to support customer needs
- Take part in regular cycle counts and work with service teams to ensure inventory accuracy
- Act as the internal contact for customers and sales teams on contracts and ongoing orders
- Continue developing product and technical knowledge, including pump applications
Required:
- Purchasing experience
- Computer literate, a good knowledge of Microsoft Office products, computerized accounting software
- Good multi-tasker with the desire to develop and become an important part of a dynamic team
Desired:
- French speaking
- University degree relating to Purchasing/Procurement
