When disaster strikes, Paul Davis Restoration helps families and businesses recover from fire, water, mold, and storm damage. As a Restoration Project Manager, oversees residential and commercial restoration projects from start to finish, restoring not only properties, but also peace of mind. This includes managing job timelines, budgets, technician and temp labor usage, documentation, and customer communication. This role directly supports Paul Davis Restoration of NW Chicago’s operational success by ensuring projects move efficiently, safely, and with exceptional customer care so clients can return to their homes or businesses as quickly as possible.

The Mitigation Project Manager is the backbone of our restoration operations. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage emergency mitigation water and fire projects from initial assessment to hand-off to our reconstruction team.
  • Coordinate internal mitigation teams and subcontractor temp labor schedules and tasks.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and colleagues.
  • Ensure job scope is compliant with IICRC standards and insurance/TPA SLAs.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation with photos of all jobsite measurements, equipment and activities.
  • Write Mitigation estimates in Cotality Estimate and Verisk Xactimate.
  • Conduct job site visits to assess progress, quality, and customer satisfaction leading to 5 star Google reviews.
  • Resolve issues proactively and professionally to keep projects moving and restore properties in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work meets OSHA safety requirements and Paul Davis quality standards.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Total Compensation Target Range: $87,000 - $112,000
  • Base salary of $65,000-75,000 (based on experience).
  • Commission structure based on Job Profitability.

Requirements:

Required Experience & Skills

  • 2–5 years of project management experience (restoration, construction, or related field).
  • IICRC WRT, ASD and FRST certifications required.
  • Strong understanding of job costing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
  • Excellent customer communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to read and develop scopes, plans, and estimates.
  • Organized and detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Xactimate, Cotality and/or restoration management software.
  • Experience with Mitigate, Encircle, DocuSketch or other mitigation documentation software.
  • Experience working with insurance carriers or adjusters.
  • Additional IICRC certifications including AMRT, MRS, BMI, TCST, and/or CPT

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Ability to visit job sites, climb stairs, lift/carry at least 50 lbs and inspect structures
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Schedule

  • Full-time Position: Regular schedule Monday - Friday with some flexibility
  • On-Call Requirements: Regular support after hours and weekends and during occasionally during holidays
