Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations involving the receiving, inspecting, documenting, storing, and management of finished goods and materials within an FDA-regulated warehouse environment. This role serves as a lead resource for warehouse staff, helping ensure all inventory and materials are handled in strict compliance with regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and traceability procedures. The Lead Warehouse Technician plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, lot control, operational efficiency, and audit readiness while supporting day-to-day workflow coordination within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support daily warehouse operations, helping prioritize workflow and ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Serve as a point of contact for warehouse team members regarding inventory processes, product handling, and compliance procedures
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on SOPs, FDA/GMP requirements, inventory practices, and warehouse safety standards
- Receive inbound shipments of finished goods, components, and materials and verify against purchase orders and shipping documentation
- Inspect incoming product for damage, labeling accuracy, lot codes, and compliance requirements
- Accurately record receipts in the inventory management system following FDA and internal traceability standards
- Assign and store products in designated bin locations according to approved storage and segregation rules
- Maintain strict lot control and chain-of-custody documentation for all regulated materials
- Ensure proper product rotation (FIFO / FEFO as required)
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials and finished goods for production or outbound shipment in accordance with documented procedures
- Perform cycle counts and assist with full physical inventories
- Investigate, reconcile, and escalate inventory discrepancies as needed
- Monitor warehouse organization and cleanliness to maintain audit-ready standards
- Ensure quarantine, hold, or rejected materials are properly labeled and segregated
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and inventory records
- Assist leadership in identifying process improvement opportunities to increase operational efficiency and inventory accuracy
- Help coordinate daily staffing needs and communicate operational priorities to the warehouse team
- Follow all safety, security, and compliance requirements at all times
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
Regulatory & Compliance Duties
- Adhere to FDA, GMP, and company quality system requirements
- Maintain accurate batch, lot, and expiration tracking where applicable
- Ensure all logs, inventory transactions, and documentation are completed accurately and in real time
- Verify all labeling, binning, and inventory movements meet regulated product controls
- Immediately report and help investigate any deviations, damaged goods, or compliance concerns
- Assist in maintaining audit readiness and supporting corrective actions where needed
- 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience preferred
- Previous experience in a lead, senior, or coordinator role preferred
- Experience in regulated environments (FDA, GMP, food, beverage, tobacco, nicotine, or pharmaceutical) strongly preferred
- Experience using warehouse management or inventory control systems
- Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Requirements
This position requires the ability to possess federally regulated products. Applicants of this position must be 21 years of age at the time of hire.
