This role sits at the center of a mission-driven federal technology environment, where business analysis directly shapes the delivery of complex, high-impact government systems. You will act as a key bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, actionable, and aligned with program objectives. The position involves working across backend systems, data integration, analytics, and IT operations in a fast-paced Agile delivery setting. You will contribute to the full software lifecycle—from requirements gathering and user story development to testing, release coordination, and end-user training. The environment is highly collaborative, involving developers, engineers, and federal stakeholders working toward mission-critical outcomes. This is an opportunity to influence large-scale digital transformation initiatives while strengthening delivery excellence in a regulated public-sector context.
- Work closely with product owners, sustainment leads, developers, and engineers to gather, refine, and manage business and system requirements across multiple initiatives.
- Translate high-level business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable Agile backlog items using tools such as JIRA.
- Maintain and prioritize product backlogs while ensuring alignment with program objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Support system, functional, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring requirements are validated and properly implemented.
- Coordinate release planning activities, including release notes, documentation, and communication materials for stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure clarity from requirements definition through deployment.
- Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, stakeholder meetings, and client presentations to support solution alignment.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for end users.
- Track and synchronize user stories across systems and environments to ensure consistency across enterprise programs.
- Support Agile ceremonies and act in a hybrid Business Analyst / Scrum Master capacity when required.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and process gaps while supporting continuous improvement across delivery workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- 10–15 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, or related IT delivery roles.
- Strong experience working in Agile environments, including writing user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency with JIRA or similar work tracking and Agile management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex systems and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in government or enterprise environments.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Experience supporting testing activities including system testing, functional testing, and UAT coordination.
- Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, technical specifications, and end-user training materials.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively across distributed teams.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust or similar security clearance.
- SAFe, Scrum Master, CBAP, or similar certifications are considered a plus.
- Competitive salary range of $125,000 – $135,000 USD annually.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact federal programs supporting national-scale systems.
- Remote flexibility depending on eligible U.S. locations.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
- Paid time off and standard federal holidays.
- Professional development and certification support opportunities.
- Collaborative Agile work environment with strong cross-functional exposure.
