You will lead the identification, structuring, and execution of strategic collaborations that bring external innovation into the organization’s core priorities.
The position plays a critical role in translating high-potential opportunities into scalable, value-driving partnerships across science and technology domains.
You will operate at a senior level, engaging with internal executives and external partners to shape licensing, collaboration, and technology access agreements.
The role requires strong commercial judgment, negotiation expertise, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in complex environments.
You will help align external innovation pipelines with enterprise strategy to accelerate impact and growth.

- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of strategic partnerships, including opportunity identification, internal alignment, structuring, negotiation, execution, and post-deal governance.
- Serve as the primary deal lead for collaboration, licensing, and technology access agreements, ensuring alignment with enterprise innovation and growth priorities.
- Evaluate external opportunities for strategic fit, technical relevance, and commercial value, translating them into actionable partnership strategies.
- Negotiate complex agreements including licensing terms, exclusivity structures, milestones, and financial frameworks with external stakeholders.
- Manage cross-functional deal teams without direct authority, ensuring coordination across R&D, legal, commercial, and technical stakeholders.
- Oversee partnership performance post-execution, ensuring delivery against defined objectives and value creation targets.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, open innovation, or related fields.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex partnerships, licensing agreements, or IP-based collaborations.
- Strong ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in matrixed, global environments without formal authority.
- Excellent commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to evaluate technical and business opportunities.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with R&D, product development, or technology teams is highly valued.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–30%, including occasional international travel.
- Annual salary range of $150,000 – $200,000, plus eligibility for bonus and incentive compensation.
