Student Respiratory Therapist (Limited Permit Holder) in Gallipolis, Ohio at Holzer Health System

The Student Respiratory Therapist (SRT) assists licensed respiratory therapists by providing the basic respiratory therapy treatments and procedures. The SRT performs patient and family care and documentation under the direct, immediate, and on-premise supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. The incumbent performs airway clearance, administers aerosolized medications, and assists with oxygen therapy administration/transport. The Student Respiratory Therapist reports to the Manager of Respiratory Therapy through the Respiratory Therapy Coordinator.

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

· Must be currently enrolled or a recent graduate of a CoARC accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

· Must be a limited permit holder in respiratory care (student license) in the State of Ohio.

· BLS certification required

· Previous healthcare experience preferred

· PALS, ACLS and NRP training is preferred

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with a variety of professionals
