About the Role:
The Packaging & Spray Paint Production role is integral to ensuring that products are finished to the highest quality standards and prepared efficiently for distribution. This position involves managing the spray painting process, including surface preparation, paint application, and curing, to achieve consistent and durable finishes. Additionally, the role requires overseeing the packaging process to protect products during transit and maintain presentation standards. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably involving spray painting or packaging.
- Basic knowledge of spray painting techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain quality standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or training in spray painting or industrial coatings.
- Experience with automated spray painting equipment and packaging machinery.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance related to paint and packaging operations.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime if required.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain spray painting equipment to apply coatings uniformly on products according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as required to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Inspect painted products for quality defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage and perform touch-ups as needed.
- Package finished products securely using appropriate materials and methods to prevent damage during shipping.
- Maintain accurate production records, including paint usage, batch numbers, and packaging counts.
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling paints, solvents, and packaging materials to ensure a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray booths, packaging stations, and related equipment.
