Head of Strategy and Product

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Strategy and Product based in Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of strategy, product, and business execution within a fast-growing technology environment.
You will partner closely with leadership teams to identify high-impact opportunities and solve complex business challenges.
The position requires a hands-on mindset, combining strategic thinking with operational ownership and execution.
You will lead cross-functional initiatives spanning product, engineering, operations, hiring, and business development.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, learns quickly, and enjoys building scalable solutions.
You will help shape new capabilities, improve processes, and contribute directly to meaningful business outcomes.
The role is fully remote and designed for a highly driven professional based in Australia.

Accountabilities:

The Head of Strategy and Product will take ownership of critical initiatives that drive business growth, operational improvements, and product evolution. This role requires strong analytical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to turn complex challenges into actionable solutions.

  • Drive high-priority strategic initiatives across product, business operations, engineering, hiring, and growth areas.
  • Partner with leadership teams to identify opportunities, solve business challenges, and support key decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from initial planning and research through execution and delivery.
  • Research new markets, customer opportunities, products, and business models to support expansion.
  • Build new teams, processes, and capabilities as the organization continues to scale.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions that improve efficiency and execution.
  • Take full ownership of projects, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with broader business goals.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a highly adaptable and results-driven professional who combines strategic thinking with strong execution capabilities. You should be comfortable operating across multiple functions, managing ambiguity, and taking ownership of complex initiatives.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent business judgment and the ability to navigate complex situations.
  • Experience managing strategic projects, product initiatives, operations, consulting, or similar high-impact roles.
  • Ability to quickly learn new domains, understand unfamiliar challenges, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a track record of independently driving projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence teams and leadership.
  • Comfortable working across different business functions, including product, technology, operations, and business development.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining focus on execution and outcomes.
  • Curious, resourceful, and motivated by building new solutions rather than maintaining existing processes.
  • Strong English communication skills required for collaboration across global teams.
  • Candidates must currently be based in Australia.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work model with flexibility to operate from anywhere in Australia.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact strategic initiatives within a fast-growing technology environment.
  • Direct exposure to leadership and the ability to influence major business decisions.
  • The chance to build new products, processes, and capabilities from the ground up.
  • Fast-paced environment with significant ownership and autonomy.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with international teams across multiple functions and regions.
  • A culture focused on innovation, learning, and meaningful impact.
  • Fast and efficient hiring process designed to move from interview to offer quickly.
