Delivery Driver - non-CDL Class C in Mokena, Illinois at Gordon Electric Supply Inc

The Delivery Driver will create value for our customers by delivering orders to customers courteously, accurately, and promptly by serving as an ambassador, projecting friendliness and concern for the customer’s needs and well-being.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily delivery of packages, cartons, and pallets throughout the company territory including the Chicago metro area, following the route as directed by the supervisor
2. Load and upload truck, verifying accuracy, protecting the material and personal safety, and placing material where specified by the customer
3. Interact with customers in a friendly, respectful manner ensuring that concerns and comments are immediately addressed or are relayed to his or her supervisor
4. Safely operating delivery vehicles including trucks requiring Class B licensure
5. Inspect vehicle daily by following checklist and correcting or reporting maintenance issues to supervisor
6. Maintain proper paperwork ensuring that deliveries and returns are properly documented
7. Provide warehouse assistance as needed
8. Remain current on all required trainings as mandated by Gordon Electric Supply
9. Perform other job and work-related responsibilities, tasks and projects as needed

Education, Experience, Credentials
• Non-CDL Class C required
• Post high school education preferred
• Clean driving record per MVR required

Physical Demands
• Ability to life 50lbs regularly and 75lbs occasionally.
• Consistently bending, twisting and reaching overhead.
