Sonography Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sonography Specialist based in Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sonographer to contribute to research and innovation in diagnostic ultrasound.
You’ll combine hands-on clinical expertise with image analysis, data collection, and product evaluation.
The role offers the chance to collaborate closely with engineers, researchers, and clinical specialists.
You’ll help test emerging ultrasound technologies and provide structured insights that influence product development.
Your expertise will support projects focused on improving usability, image quality, and diagnostic value.
This is a fully remote, two-year contract through September 2028, with potential for extension or permanent employment.
You’ll contribute to a high-impact mission focused on making advanced medical imaging more accessible worldwide.

Accountabilities
  • Label anatomy and assess image quality across a broad range of ultrasound applications, including musculoskeletal, aesthetics, abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, cardiac, vascular, and small-parts imaging.
  • Perform point-of-care ultrasound examinations on volunteer patients when required.
  • Test early and beta versions of ultrasound products and provide structured feedback on usability, performance, image quality, and clinical relevance.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, research, and clinical teams to support ongoing ultrasound innovation initiatives.
  • Contribute to project scoping, data collection, image analysis, and research activities.
  • Help define and manage focused research projects designed to improve user experience and the diagnostic value of ultrasound solutions.
  • Support additional clinical, research, and product-development activities as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography training program with at least 3 years of clinical experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic medical sonography theory, techniques, and clinical practice.
  • Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal (MSK) and aesthetics ultrasound; experience with general, cardiac, obstetrical, and point-of-care ultrasound is an asset.
  • Ability to evaluate ultrasound images accurately and provide clear, structured clinical feedback.
  • Basic computer proficiency and access to a reliable internet connection suitable for remote work.
  • Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and able to learn new technologies and processes quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and an interest in contributing clinical expertise to research and technology development.
