Echocardiograph Technician (Certified)
Our Certified Echocardiograph Technicians work collaboratively to promote optimal diagnostic clarity and prevent delays in cardiac care for both inpatient and outpatient populations. By providing comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound programming and high-quality imaging interventions, our technicians proactively engage with patients to provide connection and clinical clarity. We view our imaging specialists as a critical component of the care plan and recognize the incredibly positive impact they have on the cardiac journey and outcomes of our patients. A Typical Day:
- Performing high-quality inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, stress echos, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE).
- Assisting physicians directly with stress echo and transesophageal testing workflows while preparing results for final clinical interpretation.
- Verifying physician orders, confirming correct patient identification using two distinct identifiers, and safely instructing patients on the upcoming procedure.
- Leveraging an intimate knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and extensive EKG data to accurately follow technical criteria for preliminary reports.
- Maintaining complex echocardiography equipment in good working order, adjusting for appropriate settings, and reporting any maintenance defects.
- Complying strictly with healthcare infection control protocols and department-wide patient safety initiatives.

To be considered:
- High School diploma or equivalent required alongside graduation from an approved school for cardiopulmonary technology. An Associate Degree in Science is preferred.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is preferred, or must be successfully achieved within one (1) year of hire.
- Up to 24 months of clinical echocardiography testing experience is desired; structured in-house training backgrounds will also be considered.
- Availability must include 1 weekend per month.
- On-Call, Holiday, and Weekend rotations required.
