Right in the heart of State College, PA you will find the newest entertainment destination. Happy Valley Casino has taken over in The Nittany Mall, bringing the area its first ever gaming facility! With two dining options, cocktail service, 30+ table games and over 600 slot machines, we are sure to be the number one entertainment destination in Happy Valley!
We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the culinary team at Aces Social, our full-service, sit-down restaurant. This position plays a key role in preparing high-quality menu items, executing dishes with consistency and attention to detail, and working collaboratively with the front and back of house teams to deliver an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their craft, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
This position will report directly to the Sous Chef, and will be responsible for:
- Preparing food according to recipes and quality standards.Performing related duties in any assigned kitchen station.Demonstrating knowledge of upscale cooking techniques and methods.Effectively working in fry, carving, vegetable, sauté, and broiler stations.Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment in compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations.Promoting positive guest interactions and public relations.Providing outstanding customer service and contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:
- A minimum of one (1) year of related culinary or food service experience.The ability to frequently lift and carry up to 15 pounds.The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6–8+ hours per shift.Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs.Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
