About Rippling

Rippling gives businesses one place to run HR, IT, and Finance. It brings together all of the workforce systems that are normally scattered across a company, like payroll, expenses, benefits, and computers. For the first time ever, you can manage and automate every part of the employee lifecycle in a single system.

Take onboarding, for example. With Rippling, you can hire a new employee anywhere in the world and set up their payroll, corporate card, computer, benefits, and even third-party apps like Slack and Microsoft 365—all within 90 seconds.

Based in San Francisco, CA, Rippling has raised $1.4B+ from the world’s top investors—including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Sequoia, Greenoaks, and Bedrock—and was named one of America's best startup employers by Forbes.

We prioritize candidate safety. Please be aware that all official communication will only be sent from @Rippling.com addresses.

About Rippling & Employer of Record (EOR)

Rippling is modernizing how companies manage their global workforce. Building a global team used to mean setting up costly local entities, navigating endless international bureaucracy, and piecing together disparate HR tools.

Through our Employer of Record (EOR) service, Rippling allows companies to hire top talent anywhere in the world in minutes without setting up a local legal entity. We handle the local payroll, compliance, and most importantly world-class benefits.

About the Role

Benefits are the heart of a great employee experience. As the Senior Manager, Global Benefits, you will own and execute the global benefits strategy that powers Rippling’s EOR offerings across 40+ countries.

This is not a traditional corporate benefits role where you maintain existing plans. You will sit at the intersection of international HR, finance, and software engineering. You’ll lead a team of Global Benefits Managers, negotiate directly with international carriers and brokers, and partner closely with our Product and Engineering teams to automate benefit workflows directly into the Rippling platform.

If you thrive on setting high-level strategy one hour and rolling up your sleeves to tackle complex multi-country carrier negotiations the next, this role is for you.

What You’ll DoStrategic Leadership & Team Growth
  • Define the Global Vision: Build, refine, and execute Rippling’s global EOR benefits strategy across 40+ countries, ensuring our offerings remain hyper-competitive, cost-effective, and fully compliant.
  • Lead & Mentor: Manage, coach, and grow a team of Global Benefits Managers, empowering them to own their regional portfolios while maintaining high standards of execution.
  • Drive the Roadmap: Spearhead multi-year growth initiatives, including expanding into new countries, consolidating international carriers, and driving plan enhancements.
Vendor Management & Complex Renewals
  • Own Global Renewals: Drive the end-to-end global renewal lifecycle across 40+ countries simultaneously, ensuring zero operational disruption for clients and their employees.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Manage high-stakes relationships with global brokers and carriers (e.g., Allianz, Lockton, local market leaders), driving contract negotiations and optimizing carrier performance.
  • Expand Our Reach: Source, evaluate, and integrate new insurance carriers and brokers to expand our coverage footprint and lower costs.
Product & Operational Excellence
  • Build for Scale: Partner directly with Product and Engineering to automate system configurations, benefit setup, and new market launches inside the Rippling platform.
  • Drive Precision: Oversee global benefits reconciliation, ensuring billing, taxation, enrollment, and carrier payments run seamlessly alongside Payroll and Finance.
  • Mitigate Risk: Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance to continuously monitor changing statutory requirements and international labor laws.
Enablement & Communication
  • Empower Internal Teams: Serve as the subject matter expert across internal teams (Sales, Customer Success, Support, Operations) to help them understand complex international benefits landscapes.
  • Clear Client & Employee Messaging: Oversee the creation of clear, compelling benefits guides, onboarding assets, and renewal communications for thousands of global end-users.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ Years of Experience: Deep expertise in benefits management or consulting. EOR or PEO experience is a major plus.
  • People Leadership: Proven track record of managing and developing benefits professionals.
  • Vendor & Broker Negotiation Skills: Strong history of negotiating complex, benefit contracts.
  • Strategic & Operational Hybrid: Ability to pivot effortlessly between high-level strategy/negotiations and tactical, process-heavy execution.
  • Comfort with Automation & Tech: High technical aptitude with experience partnering with Product/Engineering teams to build software-driven HR tools.
  • Exceptional Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams across different time zones and stakeholders.
