We are seeking a highly experienced Project Engineering professional to lead complex systems projects within a fast-paced energy technology environment.
This role focuses on managing multidisciplinary engineering activities, ensuring successful project execution, and delivering high-quality solutions for technically complex customer requirements.
You will serve as a key technical interface between customers, engineering teams, project management, quality teams, and supply chain stakeholders.

The Staff Engineer, Project Engineering - Systems will lead the execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, customer satisfaction, and successful delivery. The role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams across the full project lifecycle.
- Lead project execution for highly complex turbomachinery systems and equipment projects across greenfield and brownfield applications.
- Act as the primary technical interface for customers, engineering teams, project management, quality teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong customer relationships and ensure effective communication throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with product teams, systems integration, service teams, project management, and supply chain functions to deliver solutions aligned with customer expectations.
- Review project requirements, contractual technical specifications, and customer needs to ensure accurate technical execution.
- Manage engineering documentation, drawings, vendor document registers, and technical deliverables according to project commitments.
- Lead internal design reviews, technical decisions, risk mitigation activities, and engineering improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate customer meetings including project kick-offs, design reviews, coordination meetings, close-out discussions, and technical reviews.
- Support resolution of engineering issues by developing action plans, assigning ownership, and driving timely solutions.
- Monitor project quality objectives, engineering hours, productivity, financial targets, and key performance indicators.
- Support quality planning activities, including reviews of quality control plans, inspections, and customer requirements.
- Review test specifications and participate in machinery testing activities with suppliers and customers.
- Mentor engineers and support the development of engineering talent within the team.
- Lead assigned customer project portfolios based on business priorities and operational needs.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive engineering leadership experience, strong knowledge of industrial energy systems, and proven ability to manage complex multidisciplinary projects. The candidate should be comfortable working with senior stakeholders and leading technical discussions with global customers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical, Aeronautical, Chemical, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in multidisciplinary engineering roles within Oil & Gas, energy, industrial technology, or related environments.
- Significant experience as a System Engineer, Lead Design Engineer, or Project Engineer managing complex technical projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects while balancing technical, financial, and customer requirements.
- Strong knowledge of turbomachinery products, including gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, expanders, and reciprocating compressors.
- Experience with industry standards and methodologies such as API, ASME, HAZOP, FMEA, and technical design reviews.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Experience with project planning, engineering execution, and cross-functional coordination.
- Basic knowledge of 3D CAD tools and strong proficiency with IT tools such as MS Office, Project, and MRP systems.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel internationally with a valid passport; additional language skills are a plus.
