Proposal Quality Analyst (Copy/Editor)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Proposal Quality Analyst (Copy/Editor) based in United States.

This fully remote role is an opportunity to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of high-impact healthcare proposals.
You’ll help ensure RFP responses are accurate, compliant, consistent, compelling, and aligned with evaluator expectations.
Working closely with proposal writers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders, you’ll provide structured reviews and actionable feedback throughout the bid process.
Your work will help reduce proposal risk, improve decision-making, and create stronger, more consistent outcomes from one bid to the next.
You’ll also contribute to quality governance through scorecards, reporting, style guidance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with opportunities to deepen your expertise in Medicaid, healthcare, proposal development, and industry best practices.
This role is well suited to a detail-oriented editor who enjoys combining strong writing judgment with process discipline and data-driven quality improvement.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct structured quality reviews of proposals to ensure compliance, consistency, responsiveness, and adherence to established review standards and RFP requirements.
  • Edit and evaluate proposal content against style guides, bid guidelines, templates, and brand voice, maintaining a clear and consistent experience across materials.
  • Partner with proposal writers, subject matter experts, and quality team members to provide constructive edits, feedback, and recommendations throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Word, SharePoint, PerfectIt, proposal management platforms, and AI-enabled technologies to improve editing efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Follow established proposal processes, deadlines, and quality standards to deliver accurate and timely reviews, including during high-volume or deadline-driven proposal periods.
  • Develop foundational and ongoing expertise in Medicaid products, healthcare services, proposal structures, and industry best practices to strengthen the quality of reviews.
  • Contribute to team meetings, training, and coaching initiatives designed to improve editing, compliance, quality assurance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Support the development and improvement of internal quality processes, including scorecards, business reports, style guides, performance metrics, and related procedures.
  • Work extended hours, including nights and weekends when required during critical proposal review periods, and travel periodically as needed.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a quality reviewer, copy editor, proposal editor, or similar role, with demonstrated ability to evaluate and improve complex business content.
  • Experience or knowledge in Medicaid Managed Care, government contracting, healthcare, or related environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong knowledge of Associated Press style and the ability to apply internal style guidelines consistently.
  • Strong editing, proofreading, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to identify inconsistencies, gaps, compliance risks, and opportunities to strengthen content.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with proposal management, collaboration, analytics, and AI-enabled tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable providing clear, constructive feedback and collaborating effectively with writers, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15–30% when required.
  • Familiarity with APMP or Shipley proposal-development practices is a plus, as is Six Sigma certification or APMP Bid/Proposal Foundation Certification.
Benefits
  • Fully remote work opportunity, with the ability to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Competitive base pay range of $54,300–$145,860 USD, with actual compensation determined by factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant qualifications.
  • Eligibility for a bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program, depending on applicable program terms.
  • Eligibility for an equity award program with an applicable award target.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Paid time off and retirement savings options.
  • Wellness programs and resources supporting physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
  • Additional benefits and resources available based on eligibility.
  • A collaborative environment focused on professional development, quality improvement, and meaningful contributions to healthcare outcomes.
