- Lead the design, development, and evolution of scalable full-stack cloud solutions supporting high-traffic web experiences and open APIs.
- Work closely with hardware and software product teams to ensure products deliver seamless and high-quality web and cloud experiences.
- Design and operate reliable, highly available cloud platforms, including containerized infrastructure, databases, networking, and distributed systems.
- Develop and maintain web back ends and user interfaces while contributing directly to feature delivery.
- Establish strong practices around testing, documentation, observability, resilience, and maintainable software architecture.
- Evaluate the existing cloud platform architecture, identify opportunities for refactoring, and partner with product and engineering teams to plan improvements.
- Contribute to quarterly cloud-platform roadmaps and help translate product objectives into actionable technical plans.
- Define and evolve APIs that enable applications to interact effectively with hardware and cloud services.
- Proactively improve code quality and test coverage while maintaining a clean, sustainable technical architecture.
- Evaluate emerging programming languages, frameworks, development tools, and technologies and recommend adoption or migration where appropriate.
- Lead and mentor software engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and consistent engineering standards across teams.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and increase engineering efficiency.
- Help establish and promote best practices for software development, testing, documentation, and platform engineering.
- 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack software engineering.
- Strong experience designing and building scalable cloud solutions, including container orchestration, database architecture, network infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Proven experience developing both web back ends and web user interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to build and operate reliable, highly available cloud platforms.
- Hands-on knowledge of observability practices, including logging, tracing, monitoring, and resilience engineering.
- Experience leading a software or platform engineering team in delivering well-tested, well-documented cloud solutions.
- Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide architecture and engineering decisions while remaining hands-on.
- Experience mentoring and developing other software engineers.
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or ChatGPT.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and improving software engineering practices.
- Collaborative communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering, product, design, and hardware teams.
- Familiarity with React and AWS-based, containerized application environments is valuable.
