Takes calls from patients placing meal orders into the Room Service Program.
Requirements:
- Must be able to implement oral and written instructions.
- 0-6 months experience
Major Responsibilities:
- Takes calls from patients placing Room Service Orders; assisting them with menu selections.
- Inputs information into Room Service program using computer.
- Checks diet orders from patient units and enters proper diet into computer.
- Ensures that meal orders are recorded for all patients prior to meal period.
- Collaborates and communicates with Dietitian on any unusual request or situation.
- Visits patients on units to conduct Quality Improvement activities.
- Delivers paper menus to tray line and retrieves menus from patient rooms when necessary during downtime procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
