Senior Vice President, Payer & Partner Strategy

The Senior Vice President, Payer & Partner Strategy will play a critical role in shaping enterprise growth through innovative payer strategies and strategic healthcare partnerships.
This executive position focuses on developing market-leading value propositions, expanding partnership channels, and advancing solutions across complex healthcare ecosystems.
The role requires a leader who can translate operational and clinical capabilities into compelling business strategies for payer and partner audiences.
Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, this individual will influence growth initiatives, reimbursement strategies, and market positioning.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Vice President, Payer & Partner Strategy will lead enterprise payer strategy, partnership development, and strategic growth initiatives by connecting market opportunities with operational execution. The role requires strong leadership across internal teams and external healthcare ecosystems, with a focus on building scalable partnerships and innovative care delivery models.

  • Develop and execute enterprise payer and partnership strategies aligned with growth objectives, market expansion priorities, and evolving healthcare needs.
  • Create differentiated payer value propositions highlighting operational capabilities, clinical outcomes, quality performance, and financial impact.
  • Build executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations tailored to payer leaders and healthcare partners.
  • Evaluate payer needs, reimbursement trends, cost structures, quality opportunities, and network gaps to position solutions effectively.
  • Lead discussions around value-based care arrangements, preferred provider partnerships, quality incentive programs, shared savings models, and innovative reimbursement structures.
  • Identify, develop, and expand strategic partnerships with managed care organizations, healthcare systems, and related healthcare stakeholders.
  • Originate new partnership opportunities, assess strategic fit, and support commercialization strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  • Maintain strong external relationships and leverage industry networks across healthcare services, managed care, and home-based care ecosystems.
  • Lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving operations, clinical teams, finance, legal, strategy, and executive stakeholders.
  • Establish execution frameworks, accountability models, and communication processes to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Provide executive insights through market analysis, growth models, KPI frameworks, and performance reporting.
  • Represent the organization in industry meetings, conferences, and strategic partner engagements.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced healthcare strategy executive with a proven ability to develop payer partnerships, drive commercialization efforts, and lead enterprise-level growth initiatives. This individual combines strategic vision with strong execution skills and can influence stakeholders across complex healthcare environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in payer strategy, managed care, healthcare partnerships, business development, consulting, or healthcare growth functions.
  • Deep understanding of managed Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, HCBS, PACE, GUIDE, and related government payer ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing payer partnerships, value-based care models, and enterprise growth strategies.
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen, with experience evaluating reimbursement models, contracts, partnership economics, and growth opportunities.
  • Experience translating complex clinical and operational capabilities into compelling business solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives within highly matrixed healthcare organizations.
  • Strong executive communication, storytelling, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility with payer executives, operational leaders, clinical teams, and external partners.
  • Experience developing strategic presentations, business cases, growth models, and KPI frameworks.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to connect market trends, operational performance, and enterprise strategy.
  • Experience in home care, home health, post-acute care, managed care, healthcare consulting, or related healthcare sectors strongly preferred.
  • Ability to operate strategically while maintaining accountability for execution and measurable outcomes.
