Job Summary:
As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking a reliable, organized, and personable Part-Time Medical Administrative Assistant to join our team and support our mission of providing exceptional patient care.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys working with patients and colleagues, and takes pride in providing efficient, professional administrative support. The Medical Administrative Assistant will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our office while creating a welcoming and positive experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call patients to confirm appointments
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Schedule and reschedule patient appointments as needed
- Create and maintain accurate patient charts
- Perform data entry and update electronic medical records
- Monitor and address fax inbox
- Handle telephone encounters and follow-up actions
- Prepare and send mail correspondence
- Provide administrative support to the Office Administrator
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus (experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and phone etiquette
- Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands
The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
