Position Summary: At Tru & Home2 Suites by Hilton, you are Free to be You with Tru Spirit! Our Breakfast Team brings energy, a fresh and playful attitude, and real warmth to every morning. We give guests a relaxed, welcoming place to fuel up for the day. As a Breakfast Attendant, you’ll be key to our complimentary breakfast at our brand-new hotel, cooking and serving fresh, tasty food that meets Hilton brand standards. For many guests, breakfast is the first moment of their day with us, and you help make it a great one. You keep the buffet full and fresh and the dining area spotless, and you look for ways to surprise and delight, like remembering a returning guest’s favorite or offering a friendly “good morning” with a smile. When something runs low or isn’t right, you don’t wait for someone else. You take care of it. What You Will Do:
- Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor and create a welcoming breakfast atmosphere.
- Prepare and cook breakfast items according to Hilton brand recipes, portioning and presentation standards.
- Set up the breakfast buffet before opening, including food, beverages, plates, utensils and signage.
- Monitor and replenish buffet items throughout service so everything stays fresh, full and attractive.
- Take down the buffet at the end of service and properly store, label and rotate leftover food and supplies.
- Bus tables promptly and clean and sanitize the dining area, including tables, chairs, counters and floors.
- Wash, sanitize and put away dishes, utensils, cookware and equipment.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation and health department guidelines, including proper temperature control.
- Answer guest questions and respond to special requests promptly and professionally.
- Monitor food and supply inventory and report low stock to leadership.
- Keep the kitchen and breakfast areas clean, organized and safe.
- Perform other duties as assigned by hotel leadership.

- Previous experience in food service, breakfast attendant, or hospitality preferred but not required. We’ll train the right person!
- California Food Handler Card (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Friendly, positive attitude and a passion for guest service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Attention to detail, cleanliness and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
- Frequent bending, reaching, stooping and use of hands for food prep, cleaning and dishwashing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds (e.g., food deliveries, dish racks, supply boxes)
- Ability to work around hot equipment, cleaning chemicals and in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
