Direct Support Professional Duties

• Assist individuals with the necessary skills to live successfully in their own homes
• Supporting the daily-living skills such as bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.
• Assist with common household chores
• Medication administration assistance
• Providing assistance in accessing community resources, shopping and other community-based activities
• Display warmth, show personal interest , and work to maintain a calm environment by practicing patience and understanding with the individuals
• Ensure that you treat all clients fairly and with kindness, dignity, and respect
