The Position
This is a temporary position reporting to the Middle School Head. The Boulder Country Day Middle School Spanish Teacher teaches Spanish in grades 6-8 following an inquiry based approach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Teach 3 sections of Middle School Spanish (1 of 6th, 1 of 7th, 1 of 8th)
- Collaborate with middle school faculty, learning specialists, and division head to build, review, and revise meaningful and engaging curriculum
Hours and Pay
- BCD’s part time Middle School Spanish Teacher will work Monday -Friday from 7:30-3:30pm. This assignment will run approximately from the beginning of December until mid-May,.

Requirements
Requirements:- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Bachelor’s in Spanish education
- Education in or exposure to Developmental Designs for Middle School or Responsive Classroom for Middle School
- Experience teaching in grades 6-8
- Demonstrated love for working with middle school students
- Experience working in an IB setting
- Keen interest in experiential learning
- Desire to teach in an innovative technology rich 1:1 learning environment
- Ability to differentiate within each class
- Flexibility, ability to work with change, and strengths in innovation
- Effective communication skills.
