Class A Local in Cary NC in GREENSBORO, North Carolina at SERVICE FIRST LOGISTICS CORPORATION

This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable freight transport in a commercial vehicle.

Key responsibilities:

Safety Compliance: Operating commercial vehicles moving trailers on customer's yard and on highways and local roads in compliance with all traffic laws, company policy, and DOT regulations while maintaining a clean driving record. Use ELD for logs as required by DOT and company.

Pre-trip and post-trip inspections: Conducting thorough checks of the truck's mechanical condition, lights, tires, and cargo securing mechanisms before and after each trip.

Maintaining contact with dispatchers or on call personnel to receive instructions, report any issues, and update on location.

Identifying and reporting any mechanical problems with the truck or trailer to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

Valid CDL A

Valid Medical Certification

2 years + experience operating a tractor-trailer

Knowledge of DOT safety regulations

Clean MVR
