Physical Therapist (P.T.)

Physical Therapy Department highlights:

Here's What You Need
• Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Or
• Master's degree Physical Therapy program upon hire Required Or
• Other Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required.
• Prefer 2-years prior Physical Therapy experience.
• PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required And
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly R equired.
• Other Board-Certified Clinical Specialist upon hire preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Problem- solving ability; Ability to teach others.
• Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
• Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.
• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
• Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home
programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
• Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines.
• Works in partnership with peers, other disciplines, and departmental personnel
• Focus on Daily Living Skills, Mobility and Cognition of patients.

- Work location: Texas Health Southwest - Fitness Center, 6301 Harris Parkway, Suite 100, Fort Worth, TX 76132
- Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, between 7:00AM-6:00PM, schedule varies, No weekends and no federal holidays. Either (4) 10-hour shifts or (5) 8-hour shifts. At least 2x/week - 7AM start time and 2x/week - 6PM end time.
