The Club at Prescott Lakes is seeking an experienced, motivated, and passionate Lead Line Cook to help shape the future of our newly renovated restaurant and dining program.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a fresh culinary concept featuring a completely transformed dining space, updated equipment, enhanced member experiences, and an expanded focus on elevated lunch, dinner, banquet, and special event offerings.
As a Lead Line Cook, you will play a key role in daily operations, food quality, team leadership, and execution of both à la carte dining and large-scale member events. We are looking for someone who is open-minded, adaptable, and excited to contribute ideas while helping build a strong culinary culture.
Position SummaryThe Lead Line Cook is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintaining food quality and consistency, training team members, and ensuring efficient execution of all culinary services. This position serves as a working leader on the line and helps set the standard for professionalism, organization, and teamwork.
Essential Responsibilities- Prepare and execute high-quality menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Lead assigned stations during lunch, dinner, and special event service
- Assist in training and mentoring cooks and kitchen staff
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation standards for all food produced
- Help coordinate production for large-scale member events, tournaments, weddings, and Club functions
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management, receiving, storage, and product rotation
- Communicate effectively with culinary and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Support menu development and provide feedback on new dishes and operational improvements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
- Step into leadership roles during the absence of management when needed
- Minimum 3 years of line cook experience required
- Previous lead line cook, supervisory, or culinary leadership experience preferred
- Experience in private clubs, upscale casual, fine dining, hotels, resorts, or banquet operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-first mentality
- Open-mindedness and willingness to embrace new ideas, concepts, and culinary initiatives
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
