This is a strategic and commercially driven role focused on shaping category growth and innovation within the foodservice mayonnaise segment. You will act as a key connector between market insights, product development, and go-to-market execution, translating customer and operator needs into compelling category strategies. Working cross-functionally with sales, R&D, culinary, and digital marketing teams, you will help define product positioning, lead commercialization efforts, and strengthen category leadership in a competitive B2B environment. The role blends analytical thinking with creative marketing execution, ensuring portfolio decisions are grounded in data and customer understanding. You will play a central role in launching new products, optimizing existing portfolios, and enabling sales teams with impactful tools and narratives. This position is ideal for a marketer who thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and is passionate about driving category-level impact in the food industry.
- Develop and execute category growth strategies by analyzing market trends, operator insights, and competitive dynamics within the foodservice mayonnaise category.
- Translate category and consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies, including product innovation, pricing, and portfolio optimization.
- Lead cross-functional new product development initiatives from concept through commercialization in partnership with R&D, culinary, sales, and operations teams.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies for new and existing offerings.
- Build and execute integrated commercialization plans, including sales tools, promotions, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Partner with digital marketing teams to support lead generation initiatives and evaluate campaign performance and ROI.
- Develop category narratives and product storytelling to support national accounts, distributors, and foodservice operators.
- Support sales enablement through training materials, product education content, and category expertise resources.
- Contribute to portfolio management activities, including SKU rationalization, pricing strategy, and product mix optimization.
- Lead post-launch performance analysis to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and future innovation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, category management, product management, or related commercial roles.
- Experience in foodservice, food manufacturing, or B2B food industry environments is required.
- Strong understanding of category management principles, portfolio strategy, and data-driven marketing approaches.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional product development and commercialization initiatives from concept to launch.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, customer insights, and financial impacts.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience supporting sales teams through enablement tools, training content, and customer-facing materials.
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functions while driving independent ownership of category initiatives.
- Experience with national accounts, distributors, or large foodservice operators is a strong advantage.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $104,154 to $136,153.50 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
