Integration Specialist - Municipal Metering

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Integration Specialist - Municipal Metering based in the United States.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support and integration assistance for municipal metering systems used by utility customers across the country. You will act as a key technical point of contact, helping clients troubleshoot system issues, resolve tickets efficiently, and ensure smooth operation of advanced metering solutions. The position combines customer-facing support with hands-on involvement in system integrations and deployment activities. You will collaborate closely with internal teams including sales, project management, and technical support to ensure customer needs are addressed quickly and effectively. This is a remote-first role with occasional travel to support implementation and customer engagement. It is well suited for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with utility technologies, and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for public services.

Accountabilities
  • Provide primary technical support for municipal metering systems, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues through phone, remote access, and ticketing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system, integration, and configuration issues across utility metering platforms and related software.
  • Monitor, manage, and prioritize support tickets to ensure consistent communication and resolution quality.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and customer interactions accurately within support and CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including support, sales, and project management to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Support system integration and deployment activities for municipal utility customers.
  • Deliver technical training and guidance to customers, field technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with onboarding and implementation processes for new municipal metering systems.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Neptune systems and related utility metering technologies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes and customer experience.
  • Provide clear and professional communication when assisting customers and resolving technical challenges.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience in technical support or customer service environments.
  • Experience in utility systems, AMR/AMI technologies, municipal water utilities, or related technical domains is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Experience working with CRM or ticketing systems such as Salesforce or Zoho Desk preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support tickets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.
  • Experience delivering training or presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Customer-focused mindset with patience and professionalism in high-pressure support situations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15% as required.
