ABOUT HAPPY TO HELP CAREGIVING

Happy to Help Caregiving provides compassionate, non-medical in-home care that helps older adults, veterans, and other clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Our Bountiful-based Northern Wasatch team supports families across Bountiful, Centerville, south Davis County, and nearby communities.

We believe dependable care starts with a strong local team. We value leaders who communicate clearly, follow through, support caregivers, and keep client service at the center of daily decisions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Director is the Executive Director’s primary operational partner and backup. This role directly manages and supports the Staffing Manager and Recruiting Manager, aligns both functions with branch priorities, and holds each manager accountable for timely, documented results. The Assistant Director also owns branch-level follow-through across client continuity, authorizations and renewals, nursing coordination, EVV and care-note oversight, payroll readiness, and rotating after-hours coverage.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Directly manage, coach, and hold the Staffing Manager and Recruiting Manager accountable for clear priorities, documented follow-through, and approved branch goals.
  • Oversee staffing and recruiting continuity, including open-shift coverage, caregiver capacity, hiring progress, new-hire activation, and escalation of service risks.
  • Track authorizations and renewals, maintain timely follow-up, and coordinate action to prevent client-service interruptions.
  • Support intake, assessments, service starts, client communication, and continuity planning; address concerns promptly and appropriately.
  • Oversee EVV, care notes, timekeeping, and payroll-readiness workflows; escalate safety, compliance, or service risks.
  • Coordinate with nursing and office leadership on client needs, caregiver training, documentation, and care-plan follow-through.
  • Serve as Executive Director backup and participate in rotating on-call or after-hours coverage as assigned.
  • Support referral relationships, community activity, and local outreach that advance approved branch priorities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in home care, healthcare, staffing, recruiting, or related client-service operations.
  • Experience with authorizations or renewals, EVV or visit documentation, and payroll or billing readiness.
  • Previous direct management experience, including coaching and holding employees accountable for results.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, applicant-tracking, documentation, customer-relationship, and collaboration systems.

BENEFITS

Benefits for eligible employees include:

  • 50% company contribution toward eligible employee-only health coverage.
  • Company-provided life insurance.
  • Dental and vision options where available.
  • Front-loaded PTO after 90 days of employment.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Eligible cell-phone allowance.
