Customer Service & Collections Representative in Tampa, Florida at Physicians Independent Management Services, Inc.

Physicians Independent Management Services, Inc. (PIMS) is currently looking to hire a bilingual (English-Spanish) Customer Service & Collections Specialist. The primary job function is to make outbound and receive inbound calls to collect open medical balances.

Functions include: Taking inbound calls from patients to discuss their account balance, processing payments, offering discounts/settlements as necessary, or setting up payment plans. Duties may also include updating and rebilling insurance claims or referring accounts to appropriate internal departments.

The preferred applicant will have at least 2 years of experience collecting in a call center or healthcare environment dealing specifically with patient/consumer collections. Medical and remittance/ EOB terminology and familiarity are a plus. Excellent attendance is a requirement for this position.

• Bilingual (English and Spanish speaking) preferred, but not required.

• 1 year of call center or collections experience required, 2 years preferred.
