Position Summary
Valbin Corporation is seeking an experienced General Instructor to support a potential contract at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ.
The General Instructor provides classroom and field instruction in support of the USAF Expeditionary Operations School (EOS) Fieldcraft Program. Instructors deliver expeditionary and combat skills training, evaluate student performance, prepare instructional materials, and support all aspects of training operations, including range operations, logistics, and equipment accountability. This position requires prior operational experience, strong instructional abilities, and the physical capability to train personnel in austere and dynamic environments while maintaining compliance with USAF EOS, Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), and contract requirements.

This position requires prior operational experience, strong instructional abilities, and the physical capability to train personnel in austere and dynamic environments while maintaining compliance with USAF EOS, Community College of the Air Force (CCAF), and contract requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom, field, and range instruction in accordance with approved lesson plans, Plans of Instruction (POIs), and USAF EOS curriculum.
- Conduct demonstrations, evaluate student performance, and provide technical guidance to ensure learning objectives are achieved.
- Prepare classrooms, training ranges, instructional materials, and training equipment before each course and ensure all resources are operational.
- Set up, issue, inventory, maintain, and account for training devices, weapons, pyrotechnics, and other government-furnished equipment.
- Support all phases of training, including preparation, execution, student transportation, logistics, and reconstitution activities.
- Serve as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) after required certification and safely operate within live-fire and tactical training environments.
- Maintain required instructor certifications, weapon qualifications, CPR/AED certification, and complete all required initial and recurring USAF EOS training.
- Record instructional hours and comply with Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) accreditation standards, instructor evaluations, and professional development requirements.
- Provide technical expertise, instructional planning, consultation, and recommendations to improve training effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with all USAF EOS policies, safety standards, and applicable federal regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Prior deployed military experience in hostile or uncertain environments or comparable federal/state agency operational experience.
- Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Valid state driver's license with the ability to operate government vehicles, including passenger vans and trucks.
- Ability to legally possess firearms in accordance with Title 18 U.S.C. §922 and maintain required DD Form 2760 certification.
- Current American Heart Association (or equivalent) First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
- Ability to complete USAF EOS Instructor Methodology Course, Ft. Dix Range Safety Officer certification, pyrotechnics training, vehicle training, and all required instructor qualification programs.
- Ability to meet Air Force weapons qualification standards and safely handle training explosives and pyrotechnic devices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in austere outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
- Capable of instructing while wearing body armor and other load-bearing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and run 500 feet.
- Ability to safely operate in environments involving live-fire ranges, blank ammunition, smoke, pyrotechnics, low-light conditions, and uneven terrain.
