Job Description
The Behavioral Health CNP is a key member of the Outpatient and Specialty Clinics team and will provide high-quality, compassionate, and ethical outpatient and urgent mental health services. The duties, role and responsibilities will be to provide psychiatric diagnostic assessments, evaluate need for medications, medication management, and to make urgent assessments of persons in crisis. This position will be integrated with the Walk-In Mental Health Clinic and will also maintain an outpatient schedule.
Duties include:
- Perform diagnostic assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate care from intake through discharge of care for a variety of clients and diagnosis.
- Develops, manages and carries out Plans of Care to promote health and wellness for patients and families.
- Consistently acquires and maintains current practical knowledge by attending educational opportunities, in order to apply best practices and advance patient care.
- In cooperation with Windom Area Health’s Marketing and Business Development team, enhance the marketability of services and promote the use of such services among the local medical community.

Requirements:Education/Experience:
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and an active State of MN license. Must meet Mental Health Professional Qualifications per state of MN. Candidates with at least 1 year of experience post masters/doctorate degree are strongly preferred. Experience and competence in treating pediatric and adolescent patients is preferred.
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS (License, certification, registration):
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in the state of Minnesota, with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification or equivalent.
EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES:
Typical daytime workday hours Monday – Friday with occasional evening/weekend commitments for service promotion.
Pay range: $99,939 - $149,909/yr *Rates offered will reflect applicable experience.
