Position Summary
We are accepting applications for School Administrative Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The upcoming vacancy is in the First Building of campus where the Chapel is located, supporting faculty and staff primarily in the First Building with additional support for Transportation and Admissions as needed.

INTERVIEWS
Top candidates will be invited to the next round of the selection process. Interviews are anticipated to take place in June 2026 with the goal of making a job offer in advance of the start of the new academic year in August 2026.

DESCRIPTION
A School Administrative Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical, bookkeeping and other financial duties under the general direction of a Principal or Department Director, and performs related duties as required in a JK-12 school setting. Incumbents are expected to perform the full range of clerical and administrative functions requiring moderate independent judgement to ensure the assigned duties are met.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and time management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to exercise a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and flexibility to meet varying needs in the First Building of campus. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a JK-12 school setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Represent SouthLake Christian Academy using excellent written and oral communication skills through emails, GroupMe and phone calls, often involving independent judgment, initiative, and discretion.
2. Welcome visitors to the school by monitoring the First Building entrance.
3. Maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
4. Assist substitutes with their rosters and room keys in the First Building.
5. Monitor school calendar, providing timely and accurate information to parents.
6. Provide administrative support for various school operations including First Building activities, Lower School, Fine Arts, Bus Operations, and Admissions.
7. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
Two (2) years of experience in a progressively responsible administrative support role, preferably in an educational setting.
Evidence of commitment to a local church is required.

COMPETENCIES
Commitment to working in and fostering an inclusive community.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, FACTS, and other database programs.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Excellent organizational skills with multi-tasking capability.
Meeting, calendar, time, and event management experience.
Ability to handle confidential information and act with discretion.

COMPENSATION
Salary is negotiable based on individual qualifications and will be set within range of the administrative support roles.
