Junior Bank Reconciliation Analyst

Working closely with accounting, treasury, and finance teams, you will help identify and resolve discrepancies while contributing to efficient financial operations. Accountabilities
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Match bank transactions against general ledger entries and investigate discrepancies to support timely resolution.
  • Maintain detailed reconciliation records, supporting documentation, and escalation logs in accordance with internal controls and compliance requirements.
  • Process and accurately code banking transactions, including multi-currency entries and intercompany transfers.
  • Prepare reconciliation summaries, reports, and supporting schedules for review by senior finance stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasury, and other finance teams to clarify payment details, receipts, and transaction-related issues.
  • Escalate unusual or unresolved reconciliation items and support follow-up activities through to completion.
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities, including bank statement retrieval, reconciliation reviews, and documentation sign-offs.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving reconciliation procedures, process documentation, and standard operating practices.
  • Support ongoing initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and financial process controls.
Requirements
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations, or a related financial role.
  • Practical experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including double-entry bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately with high volumes of financial data.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, including functions such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced formulas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze data, and identify practical solutions to financial issues.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams and supporting shared business objectives.
  • Experience within multi-entity or multi-currency environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Airwallex, or similar financial platforms is considered a plus.
  • Progress toward a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is desirable but not required.
