Job Description

Senior Product Manager, ASPL

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager, ASPL in United States for Upstart.

This role sits at the center of a high-growth consumer lending product focused on transforming how borrowers access secured personal loans. You will lead the strategy and execution for the Auto Secured Personal Loans (ASPL) product, shaping how it is offered, optimized, and scaled within a fast-moving fintech environment. The position blends deep product thinking with data-driven decision-making, requiring close collaboration with engineering, design, analytics, legal, compliance, and capital markets teams. You will be responsible for identifying friction points in the borrower journey and designing solutions that improve conversion and accessibility. The environment is highly iterative and experimental, with rapid feedback loops and a strong emphasis on learning and optimization. Your work will directly influence product growth, customer experience, and financial outcomes across a key lending vertical.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for the ASPL (Auto Secured Personal Loans) product.
  • Identify borrower needs and behaviors to improve targeting, offering strategy, and overall conversion within the lending funnel.
  • Analyze product performance and identify barriers preventing broader ASPL adoption, developing solutions to remove friction.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, analytics, legal, compliance, and operations teams to deliver scalable, compliant product solutions.
  • Partner with capital markets teams to support funding strategies and onboarding of capital for loan products.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize loan flow mechanics, user experience, and business outcomes.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously iterate, test, and improve product performance and customer experience.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of product management experience in fast-paced, consumer-focused environments.
  • Proven ability to own and execute multi-quarter product roadmaps with measurable business impact.
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Strong ownership mindset with a track record of delivering results in ambiguous and evolving environments.
  • Experience in fintech, consumer lending, or financial products is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes, compliance workflows, or capital markets is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $162,100 to $224,500 USD (US remote range).
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses and equity grants.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage including medical, dental, and vision plans.
  • Retirement benefits with company match through 401(k) or equivalent savings plans.
  • Flexible, digital-first remote work environment across the United States.
  • Paid time off, parental leave, and wellness-focused benefits.
  • Annual wellness and productivity allowances to support personal and professional needs.
  • Strong culture of experimentation, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
