Waikiki Health is seeking a full-time maintenance specialist.
Pay rate for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Summary of position: The Maintenance Specialist performs needed repairs and improvements at Keauhou Shelter. Ability to work under minimal supervision is required.
Qualifications and abilities
- Education: High school diploma required.
- Experience: Minimum two years of work experience in repair and maintenance work, including one year of experience working with plumbing and electrical work.
- Credentials: Must have a valid driver license and a reliable driving record.
- Physical Ability: Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds from the ground.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Core Skills: Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
General Duties include but are not limited to
- Facility Repairs & Improvements: Execute routine shelter maintenance, facility upgrades, and troubleshooting to ensure a safe, operational environment. [1]
- Vendor & Service Coordination: Source outside contractors, coordinate specialized repairs, and manage service payments and vendor relationships efficiently.
- Operations & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee daily functionality of essential shelter infrastructure, ensuring laundry facilities and specialized machinery operate properly.
- Safety Committee Representation: Act as the department representative for the Waikiki Health safety committee, strictly enforcing site safety protocols and regulations.
- Compliance & Administrative Support: Partner with the Housing First Manager to ensure full facility compliance while maintaining strict client confidentiality at all times.
- Other duties as assigned
