Job Description

Quality Manager

Total Site Solutions, Georgetown, TX., is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Manager. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet or exceed established quality standards within the manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive quality systems that align with ISO 9000 standards and other regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager leads supplier quality initiatives, including audits and performance evaluations, to ensure that incoming materials meet stringent quality criteria. By utilizing statistical process control and value stream mapping techniques, the role drives continuous improvement efforts aimed at reducing scrap and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Ultimately, the Quality Manager ensures that quality objectives support business goals, customer satisfaction, and compliance across all manufacturing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven knowledge and application of ISO 9000 standards and quality systems.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and conducting supplier audits.
  • Strong understanding of statistical process control and manufacturing operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and value stream mapping.
  • Familiarity with advanced quality tools such as Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous leadership experience managing quality teams.
  • Experience in scrap reduction initiatives and control plan development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9000 standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality performance to ensure adherence to quality requirements.
  • Utilize statistical process control methods to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Lead initiatives focused on scrap reduction and process optimization through value stream mapping.
  • Create and maintain control plans to standardize quality procedures and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, engineering, and procurement to resolve quality issues.
  • Analyze quality data and generate reports to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Train and mentor quality assurance staff and manufacturing personnel on quality standards and best practices.

The Quality Manager applies expertise in quality systems and ISO 9000 standards daily to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Supplier quality skills are essential for conducting audits and managing supplier relationships to maintain high-quality inputs.
