This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Market Director - Security Risk Consulting based in United States.

This is a strategic leadership opportunity combining security risk consulting, business development, client relationship management, and technical delivery.
You’ll help organizations across diverse industries identify and address complex security risks while developing solutions tailored to their operational needs.
The role blends market leadership with hands-on consulting, allowing you to influence growth while remaining closely connected to client work.
You’ll build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, provide thought leadership, and translate security challenges into practical risk-management strategies.
Working across areas such as security design, threat and violence risk management, protective intelligence, and investigations, you’ll contribute to high-value engagements.
The position offers significant autonomy, visibility, and the opportunity to shape a high-performing, collaborative consulting environment.
With a target utilization of approximately 40–50% and up to 25% travel, this role is well suited to an experienced security professional who combines commercial acumen with technical expertise.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead operational sales initiatives aligned with regional market strategies, applying value-selling principles and disciplined funnel management to generate sustainable business growth.
  • Develop and implement technical security solutions covering security risk management, security design, threat and violence risk management, protective intelligence, investigations, and related consulting services.
  • Build, maintain, and expand trusted relationships with clients through responsive communication, strategic advice, thought leadership, and high-quality service delivery.
  • Establish credibility with organizations across sectors including energy, financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, leisure, education, and other complex enterprise environments.
  • Identify client needs and translate them into practical, scalable security risk and resilience solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Combine business development responsibilities with hands-on technical consulting, maintaining approximately 40–50% utilization through billable client work.
  • Deliver high-quality consulting outputs while maintaining strong project management, technical standards, and client satisfaction.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring deliverables remain on schedule and aligned with client expectations.
  • Collaborate with regional and broader consulting teams to share expertise, strengthen market opportunities, and foster an innovative, results-oriented culture.
  • Contribute to the continued development of security risk consulting capabilities, market strategies, and client offerings.
  • Travel as needed, with an anticipated travel commitment of up to 25%.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience within corporate or government security programs, including management, coordination, and delivery of multiple security risk management initiatives across diverse geographic areas.
  • Proven experience in technical consulting, client relationship management, and business development within a professional services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of security risk management and related disciplines, with the ability to design and communicate solutions for complex client environments.
  • Experience working with senior client stakeholders and establishing credibility through strong communication, strategic thinking, and subject-matter expertise.
  • Advanced presentation, communication, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple engagements effectively.
  • Strong commercial orientation and demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with strong professional ethics and the ability to operate effectively in a high-performance environment.
  • Active involvement in respected security organizations such as ASIS or ISMA is advantageous.
  • Professional credentials such as CPP, PSP, or PE, relevant manufacturer certifications, or applicable U.S. government security training are preferred.
  • An active security clearance is a plus.
