SAP CPI Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP CPI Consultant based in India.

As a SAP CPI Consultant, you will design, develop, and maintain integration solutions connecting SAP systems with client and third-party applications.
You will work across diverse integration patterns, protocols, adapters, and data formats to enable reliable enterprise data exchange.
The role offers hands-on exposure to SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite, including message mapping, Groovy scripting, routing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
You will contribute across the full integration lifecycle, from development and testing through deployment, go-live, and production support.
Working closely with functional, technical, and business teams, you will translate requirements into secure and scalable integration solutions.
You will also help improve interface performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency in a collaborative environment.
This is a full-time opportunity offering remote flexibility within India, with the role associated with Pune.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain integration flows using SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
  • Build integrations between SAP, client, and third-party applications based on technical and functional requirements.
  • Configure and work with SFTP, SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, HTTP, RFC, and file-based adapters.
  • Develop message mappings, transformations, routing logic, and integration workflows.
  • Create and maintain Groovy scripts to support custom transformation and integration requirements.
  • Develop and support integrations involving IDoc, RFC, and Proxy technologies.
  • Work with XML, JSON, and IDoc data structures and formats.
  • Implement robust exception handling, error management, monitoring, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Investigate interface failures and resolve integration issues across development and production environments.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, developers, business stakeholders, and support teams to resolve requirements and production issues.
  • Support SIT, UAT, deployment, production readiness, and go-live activities.
  • Perform interface testing using tools such as Postman and SoapUI.
  • Maintain clear technical documentation covering integration flows, configurations, support activities, and project deliverables.
  • Follow established development standards, security guidelines, coding practices, and integration best practices.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve integration performance, reliability, monitoring, and maintainability.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite development and implementation.
  • Strong practical knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform Integration and SAP Integration Suite on Cloud Foundry.
  • Proven experience with SFTP, SOAP, REST, OData, IDoc, HTTP, RFC, and file adapters.
  • Strong expertise in message mapping, data transformation, routing, and exception handling.
  • Hands-on experience with Groovy scripting in SAP CPI.
  • Solid understanding of IDoc, RFC, and Proxy-based integrations.
  • Experience working with XML, JSON, and IDoc data structures.
  • Familiarity with API and interface testing using Postman and SoapUI.
  • Experience supporting SIT, UAT, deployment, and go-live activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex integration failures.
  • Good understanding of integration monitoring and production support processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with functional, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation and consistently follow development standards.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple integration requirements effectively.
