Strategic Finance Manager, GTM

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic Finance Manager, GTM based in United States.

This is a high-visibility strategic finance role serving as a key partner to Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership.
You will help shape go-to-market investment decisions, improve productivity, and support predictable ARR growth.
The position combines financial planning, forecasting, SaaS analytics, commissions modeling, and strategic business partnership.
You will translate complex financial data and operating metrics into clear recommendations for senior executives.
Working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, you will have significant autonomy and influence across the organization.
You will also help modernize finance processes through planning technology, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
The role offers an opportunity to directly influence revenue strategy, resource allocation, and long-term business performance.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the primary finance partner to Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success leadership, providing data-driven guidance on investments, resource allocation, and strategic trade-offs.
  • Translate complex financial models and SaaS operating metrics into clear narratives and actionable recommendations for VP- and C-level stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks, opportunities, productivity improvements, and efficiency opportunities across the GTM organization.
  • Support annual operating plans, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning across go-to-market functions.
  • Build and maintain topline capacity models and net-new ARR forecasts, incorporating headcount, quota coverage, ramp assumptions, pipeline inputs, and other key drivers.
  • Partner with Operations teams to align financial models with CRM data and GTM operating rhythms.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly variance analyses with concise commentary for leadership and board-level reporting.
  • Support commission processes, including calculations, reporting, and modeling for GTM teams and leadership compensation plans.
  • Partner with GTM leadership and HR to design, model, and stress-test new incentive compensation structures.
  • Leverage internal incentive compensation technology to improve accuracy, automation, and transparency in commission reporting.
  • Build and track GTM financial frameworks covering CAC, LTV, payback period, sales productivity, and revenue efficiency.
  • Benchmark performance against SaaS industry peers and develop ROI models for strategic initiatives such as new segments, headcount investments, and marketing programs.
  • Drive adoption and optimization of financial planning and EPM tools, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
  • Champion AI-powered automation to improve forecast accuracy and scale finance processes, while partnering with Finance leadership on systems and tooling strategy.
Requirements
  • 5–8 years of progressive experience in GTM FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or a related field, ideally within SaaS or high-growth B2B technology companies.
  • Proven experience acting as a finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, or other go-to-market organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with commissions modeling and/or variable compensation plan design.
  • Investment banking or corporate finance experience at a bulge-bracket or middle-market firm is also valued.
  • Expert financial modeling capabilities in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with the ability to independently build complex and dynamic models.
  • Direct experience with Adaptive Insights / Workday Adaptive Planning is strongly preferred; familiarity with Pigment, Anaplan, Mosaic, or similar EPM tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM reporting, particularly Salesforce, and comfort working with large datasets; SQL experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven automation tools and enthusiasm for applying them to finance workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS metrics, including ARR, ACV, NRR, CAC, churn, LTV, pipeline velocity, sales capacity, and revenue efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of incentive compensation mechanics, commission plan design, quota-setting frameworks, sales productivity benchmarks, and GTM efficiency ratios.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated financial analysis clearly and confidently to non-finance leaders and senior executives.
  • Strong ownership mindset and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Collaborative approach with the ability to build trusted relationships across Sales, Revenue Operations, HR, and Finance.
  • Intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience with incentive compensation platforms, exposure to hyper-growth or public-market preparation, or an MBA/advanced degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus.
Benefits
  • $145,000–$195,000 annual base salary, depending on factors such as location, experience, proficiency, and anticipated performance.
  • Competitive total rewards package including equity, comprehensive healthcare, and additional perks.
  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, with approximately 75% coverage for dependents.
  • Flexible vacation time plus quarterly mental health days.
  • Annual stipends for professional development and caregiving needs.
  • Work anniversary bonuses that increase with tenure.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan for eligible US employees.
  • Latest Apple hardware and premium technology tools.
  • Remote working flexibility.
  • Employee Resource Groups and an inclusive community focused on supporting diverse talent and fostering belonging.
